Dena Karari, a dual US-Iranian citizen, has been released from Iranian detention, according to an announcement by US President Donald Trump. Karari, who had been held since December 2024, is now reportedly in good condition and no longer in Iran. Karari’s attorney, Jared Genser, confirmed that she is safe and currently making her way back to the United States. He attributed her release to the efforts of the Trump administration, which had been working on securing her return.
